Vintage, Classic, Legendary are just some of the comments you’ll hear when out and about in your van and it’s not surprising when your van will be one of Volkswagen’s iconic Type 2 campervans built in the 1970s.
Combining timeless charm with modern comforts such as CD, MP3 player, DVD player and fridge, your van not only looks great but has everything you need for a fantastic holiday.
Schiehallion. A stunning Brilliant Orange 1973 Bay Window Camper with original Westfalia Continental conversion. She left the factory as a camper and a lot of the equipment in her dates from that period. That said, she benefits from the addition of a modern heating system, a DVD player and a modern radio and fridge to give a few creature comforts. The van’s original interior has been re-upholstered and features a full width bed in the rear and a solid bed in the roof. Although old all her equipment works and has all been safety tested.
Schiehallion is a 4 berth and has two three point seat belts in the rear. The weight limit for the bed in the pop top is 80kg so is only really suitable for a one adult or 2 children, but please remember we can provide a tent and all equipment for a small extra charge.
We have chosen to name our van after one of the Scottish ‘Munros’ that you may glimpse during your holiday. (A Munro is a Scottish Mountain over 3000 feet high).
‘Schiehallion’ means the fairy hill of the Caledonians. It is one of Scotland’s best known hills in the Central Highlands.
